New Jersey Disaster Critical Incident Stress Response
New Jersey Disaster Critical Incident Response (NJDCISR) is a grant-funded program administered by the Office of Employee and Organization Development that addresses the needs of high-risk rescuers and first responders.

NJDCISR utilizes a customized Critical Incident Stress Response model that is comprehensive, statewide, and first responder oriented. This model draws upon peer support and first responder expertise to integrate lessons-learned from experience with previous disasters and events, as well as through interactive response and training. The New Jersey Self-Help Clearing House
The N.J. Self-Help Clearing House was started in 1981 as the first statewide operation of its kind in the country. The Clearing House provides information about self-help groups that are available, how to develop a group, training for group leaders and facilitators, and publications such as the annual Self-Help Group Directory which lists over 5,000 state and national groups. EOHSI Resource Center
The Resource Center is an outreach component of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) sponsored by UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. New Jersey Victim-Witness Advocacy Assistance
The Office for Victim-Witness Advocacy is located within the various County Prosecutor's Offices and can assist victims of the terrorist attack with a variety of services, including: assisting victims and surviving family members in completing claim forms for compensation benefits; assisting in calling the available agencies to find out about available benefits or the status of benefits processing; accessing local services for counseling, food and other necessities; providing information to employers, schools, etc., on behalf of victims for time missed due to the tragedy.

Gift From Within
Gift from Within is a non-profit organization dedicated to those who suffer post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), those at risk for PTSD, and those who care for traumatized individuals. Gift from Within develops and disseminates educational material, including videotapes, articles, books, and other resources through its website, and maintains a roster of survivors who participate in a peer support network.
